1. Common Threads

2707 Spruce St, Boulder
"We are focused on offering luxury, high end, designer pieces and also carry more affordable brands for basic closet staples, those which bridge the gaps in our clients' wardrobes. Our average size is a size Small but we sometimes do get some larger sizes."
This high-end consignment store stands as a treasure trove for those in search of unique Boho-inspired, edgy-chic, and in general: elevated pieces with a lot of personality. The vibe within this boutique is delightfully chill, creating a relaxed atmosphere that lets you explore at your own pace. The space is small and thoughtfully curated, ensuring that every item on the racks is a carefully selected gem.
The staff is not only knowledgeable but also passionate about high fashion. One of my favorite things to do while visiting is to browse the "Our Picks" clothing rack. The shop assistants go above and beyond to enhance your shopping experience, explaining to the newcomers the shop layout and how the clothes are organized. Sparing you the need to wander with a mountain of clothes in your arms, they are quick to prepare a changing room for you. And by the way, if you express interest in a particular designer, they can even bring you a personalized selection of clothes from them. I am told that Boulderites' favorites designers are Ulla Johnson and Dries Van Noten.

2. Rags
3129 28th St, Boulder
"We are the largest consignment store in Boulder, adding thousands of pre-loved clothing items to our aisles every week. We are focused on contemporary clothes for an every day style. We are actively working on expanding our plus size selection."
Stepping into this exceptional consignment store, you'll quickly forget that the beautiful clothes on display are pre-owned. The layout resembles that of a department store, with a spacious, inviting atmosphere. The options are abundant, with dedicated sections like the designer clothes area (if you are in search of a dress for a special event), an expansive shoe collection, as well as a dedicated athleisure area. Among my personal favorites was the impressive display of handbags, all sorted by colors and featuring an array of covetable brands and styles. It's a place where you can confidently arrive with a shopping wishlist of the things you need, as you're almost certain to find what you're looking for.
The attentive employee directed my attention to a rack brimming with larger-sized pants, assuring me that there was indeed a generous selection for those seeking larger and plus sizes. It's worth noting that navigating such a vast store can be a bit overwhelming, so taking your time to explore each section is highly recommended.

3. Found Underground

901 Main St, Louisville
"We offer various styles at all price points, our selection is eclectic and affordable. We want to be size inclusive and plus sizes are usually displayed along the size Large throughout the shop. Our racks are updated every 3 weeks, come often and find something special".
Nestled beneath the streets of Louisville lies an underground consignment store with a uniquely eclectic selection that sets it apart from the rest. It caters to a diverse clientele, offering a delightful mix of both budget-friendly brands and funky, one-of-a-kind pieces. Amongst the racks, you might stumble upon embellished sneakers, snug snow fleece, and cozy puffer coats, all at a pleasantly affordable price point. If you're lucky, you might even spot a pair of neon-colored roller skates!
However, shopping here requires focus for the layout is not straightforward. With items organized either by size or by category in various locations of the store, assistance from the friendly staff becomes essential. Yet, the true thrill lies in the separate section at the back of the store where everything is marked at a whopping 50% off! For the patient shoppers who enjoy the thrill of the hunt and the excitement of an amazing deal, this underground consignment store is the place to be. The racks are in a constant state of flux. Visit often, for here, fortune favors the persistent.

4. Fabulous Finds
600 S Airport Rd, Longmont
"All styles, all sizes and all ages. The items range from very affordable to designer. What matters most to us is that the clothing or accessories we offer are in excellent condition, high quality and durable. What sells best here are tops: clients are more likely to fall in love with them."
Located in Longmont this lovely consignment store offers a large choice of embellished statement pieces, featuring intricate embroidery, dazzling beadwork, sequined ensembles, fur coats and playful fringe accents. The store does offer a lot of options and a broad range of sizes, particularly for small, medium, and large, though options for plus sizes are somewhat limited. With a wide variety of reasonably priced items, including some extraordinary vintage pieces, this consignment store provides shoppers with tons of fashion finds.
While the selection is undeniably abundant, navigating through the store can be overwhelming, as sizes are scattered throughout, requiring shoppers to search assiduously. The clothing and accessories are artistically displayed throughout the store as decor, which, while visually pleasing, makes browsing and hunting for something specific a bit challenging.

High quality vintage pieces that are reasonably priced
Lots of very special finds, especially embellished pieces
5. Apocalypse
1813 Pearl St, Boulder
"Unlike the luxury consignment stores in the area our selection is very affordable and caters to the local students. We are especially looking for fun contemporary items and we love vintage pieces, too."
Downtown Boulder has a thrift store that's a must-visit for those in search of fun and colorful secondhand clothing. As soon as you step inside, you're welcomed by the lively rhythm of upbeat music that infuses the space with a vibrant energy. That store is alive and a haven for playful and younger fashion enthusiasts. The secondhand store caters to both men and women, and its well-organized layout ensures easy navigation. Plus, the changing rooms at the back of the store are perfect for group outings with friends, featuring mirrors that let you showcase your fantastic finds.
My personal favorite section was the racks of jackets and graphic tees. What sets this place apart is the high diversity of styles, from retro to contemporary, that adorn the hangers. It's the perfect place to experiment with your personal style without breaking the bank, or to uncover those one-of-a-kind pieces that make for a fantastic costume for a dress-up party. Quality pieces aren't necessarily the focus here.
